Sr. Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure initiatives from its Dallas-area team. The role combines client leadership, business development, project delivery, and staff development for municipal and government customers.

Project Details

The position supports major water solutions programs addressing population growth, aging infrastructure, system reliability, water quality, operational efficiency, asset management, and one-water initiatives. Work may include water and wastewater planning, treatment, linear infrastructure, detailed design, construction, and capital improvement optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing, account strategy, prospect development, proposals, presentations, budgeting, and contracting.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipalities and other infrastructure clients.
• Oversee engineering managers and coordinate internal teams with owner representatives.
• Set project performance goals and manage implementation, budgets, invoicing, payments, and performance reviews.
• Support market planning and client engagement strategies.
• Mentor team members and recommend training, promotions, and new hires.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 20 or more years of relevant water engineering experience, including water and wastewater infrastructure planning, asset management, design, and construction.
• Experience with business development and program or project management.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles, standards, and applicable design guides.
• Texas Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Ability to complete applicable background, drug screening, and motor vehicle record checks.
