Site Development Engineer

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Site Development Engineer to support civil site development projects from early design through construction and project delivery in an employee-owned engineering and infrastructure organization.

Project Details

Work includes grading, stormwater management, erosion control, culvert, pavement design, site plans, and related permitting for infrastructure projects. The position is based in a hybrid or flexible office environment, with potential travel to local and regional client sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil site designs from conceptual and bid phases through completion.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, permitting, and client coordination.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, project teams, clients, and subconsultants.
• Support business development by preparing technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentations.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least five years of related engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of site plans, grading, permitting, and stormwater design.
• Active engineering registration or licensure supporting engineer-of-record requirements is required; a PE license or progress toward obtaining one is preferred.
• Ability to lead portions of complex projects with appropriate guidance.
