Project Manager - Water/Wastewater - Orlando

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Manager to join its Orlando water and wastewater practice and lead delivery of major municipal infrastructure projects. This leadership role supports client development, project performance, and team growth within an employee-owned engineering and construction organization.

Project Details

The position supports multi-million-dollar water and wastewater infrastructure work for municipalities, state and local governments, and other public-sector clients. The Orlando team works on water supply, sewer, and related infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing, account development, proposal preparation, client presentations, budgeting, and contract pursuits.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to market, business, and engagement strategies.
• Oversee engineering managers and project teams while establishing performance goals and ensuring implementation.
• Manage project budgets, invoicing, payments, commercial activities, and performance reviews.
• Coach and mentor staff and support training, promotion, and team-building decisions.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a technical degree and Professional Engineering license are preferred.
• 15 or more years of active water and wastewater experience with leadership experience in the Florida market.
• Knowledge of project budgets, financial metrics, contract terms, risk, pricing, and payment conditions.
