Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure work from its Greenwood Village, Colorado team. This employee-owned organization delivers engineering, procurement, consulting, and construction services for public-sector infrastructure.

Project Details

The role supports multi-million-dollar water-related projects, including water and wastewater treatment, linear infrastructure planning and design, asset management, and related municipal programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct project cost, schedule, quality, risk, safety, contractual compliance, and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, startup, and third-party contributors.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee engineering managers, and establish project performance goals.
• Support proposals, client presentations, budgeting, contracting, and business-development activities.
• Manage project financial activities, including budgeting, invoicing, payments, and performance reviews.
• Mentor team members and support training, promotion, and staff development.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10 or more years of program or project management and relevant technical experience preferred.
• Experience with water and wastewater treatment, linear infrastructure planning and design, and asset management preferred.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles, applicable standards, and design guides preferred.
• Ability to complete applicable pre-employment screening and travel to client sites.

Compensation and Benefits

Colorado compensation is $126,236-$214,599 per year. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, disability and wellness programs, paid time off, 401(k) matching, tuition and adoption reimbursement, and employee stock ownership. Flexible work options may be available after the first 90 days, and eligible professionals may receive a performance-based bonus.
