Project Engineering Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering delivery for municipal water and wastewater programs. This full-time role oversees multidisciplinary teams and supports complex infrastructure projects.

Project Details

Projects may include advanced water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plant upgrades and expansions, underground conveyance, design-build delivery, and carbon-neutral infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Direct engineering execution, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines.
• Lead engineers and technicians, coordinate production teams, and serve as responsible charge for assigned work.
• Develop engineering calculations, equipment recommendations, and technical solutions for complex projects.
• Manage client communication, project changes, concerns, and selected business development support.
• Review engineering work and mentor, supervise, and manage the performance of assigned personnel.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• At least five years of related experience, preferably in engineering consulting.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary water treatment and wastewater treatment upgrades or expansions is preferred.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer-of-record responsibilities is required.
