Project Engineering Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering delivery for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Phoenix. This full-time position oversees multidisciplinary teams and supports traditional and alternative project delivery methods.

Project Details

The portfolio includes advanced water and wastewater treatment facilities, plant upgrades and expansions, underground conveyance, and carbon-neutral infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Direct engineering execution, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines.
• Lead and coordinate engineers, technicians, and production teams on complex projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, equipment recommendations, and technical deliverables.
• Manage client communications, project changes, and support for business development pursuits.
• Review engineering work and mentor, develop, and manage assigned personnel.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
• At least five years of related professional experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure supporting engineer-of-record requirements.
• Consulting experience and work on multidisciplinary water treatment or wastewater treatment upgrades are preferred.
