Project Director - Industrial Water

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Director to lead industrial water and wastewater programs, combining business development, client engagement, project delivery, and team leadership.

Project Details

The role supports lifecycle water, wastewater, and stormwater solutions for heavy commercial and industrial clients, with a focus on schedule, budget, sustainability, resilience, regulatory compliance, and community relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing, account strategy, prospect development, proposals, client presentations, project budgeting, and contract development.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to market, business, and client engagement strategies.
• Oversee engineering managers, project teams, performance goals, budgets, invoicing, payments, and project reviews.
• Mentor staff and recommend training, promotion, and team expansion opportunities.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• More than 20 years of water and wastewater experience with demonstrated industrial-sector leadership.
• Professional Engineering license and a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline are preferred.
• Understanding of budgets, financial metrics, contract terms, commercial risk, pricing, and payment provisions.
