Piping Superintendent - Simple Cycle

Job Summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a Piping Superintendent for a simple-cycle power construction project in Lawton, Oklahoma. This field-based role directs piping supervision, craft employees, subcontractors, and construction engineering while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and productivity expectations.

Project Details

The position supports industrial simple-cycle construction, including piping installation, equipment installation, work packages, commodity tracking, and subcontractor coordination. Travel is required, and the work may involve outdoor construction conditions and shifts of up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor piping and subcontractor work for compliance with the CPM schedule, quality standards, safety requirements, and contract scope.
• Lead daily, weekly, and monthly planning meetings with foremen and subcontractors.
• Develop three-week look-ahead schedules, corrective action plans, and resource requirements.
• Track productivity, installed quantities, costs, punch-list completion, timesheets, and progress payment requests.
• Coordinate work plans with other discipline superintendents, the Construction Manager, project controls, and construction engineering.
• Administer work packages, equipment installation, job hazard analyses, information requests, and extra-work documentation.
• Identify schedule, labor, backcharge, out-of-scope, and commercial recovery issues.
• Provide work direction, training, development, and performance management for assigned personnel.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction field leadership experience on equivalent projects.
• Piping construction experience and simple-cycle or combined-cycle construction experience are preferred.
• Construction management or engineering degree and training in scheduling, cost control, and contract administration are preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Ability to work around heavy equipment, at heights, in confined or uneven areas, and in varying weather and temperature conditions.
