Mulberry Leadman, Solar Electrician

Job Summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a Leadman, Solar Electrician to perform and coordinate electrical installation, testing, repair, and startup work while supporting crew safety and quality on a construction site.

Project Details

The role supports solar electrical construction, including conduit, cable, grounding, distribution equipment, control systems, and related electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, install, test, and repair electrical wiring, conduit, fixtures, motors, controls, and distribution equipment.
• Install supports, cable and duct banks, terminations, grounding systems, and high- and low-voltage components.
• Read plans, specifications, one-line diagrams, cable and conduit schedules, ladder diagrams, P&IDs, and loop diagrams.
• Coordinate activities with other crafts and provide on-the-job guidance to helpers and laborers.
• Participate in work planning, safety discussions, hazard correction, incident reporting, lockout/tagout, and stop-work procedures.
• Maintain quality standards and comply with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry requirements.

Required Experience

• At least four years of industrial electrician experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Working knowledge of the electrical trade and National Electrical Code requirements.
• Applicable jurisdictional licenses or certifications and the required electrician tools.
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work, climb ladders and scaffolds, and work in confined or uneven areas.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and complete shifts of up to 12 hours.
