Job Summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a Civil Superintendent to direct safe, quality field execution for a battery storage project in Lake Cormorant, Mississippi. The role provides daily leadership to subcontractors, craft teams, and field engineers while coordinating schedule, productivity, quality, safety, and contract requirements.

Project Details

The assignment supports battery energy storage and civil construction work, including site development, trenching, equipment installation, and related work packages.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor activities, work plans, materials, manpower, and equipment to maintain project progress.
• Monitor schedule performance, installed quantities, labor productivity, costs, punch lists, and payment documentation.
• Lead subcontractor planning meetings and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules.
• Resolve field issues involving drawings, quality, safety, quantities, schedule, and scope.
• Prepare corrective actions, job hazard analyses, daily records, and progress reports.
• Provide direction, coaching, and supervision to subcontractors, craft professionals, and field engineers.
• Identify potential back charges, out-of-scope work, and commercial recovery opportunities.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction field leadership experience on comparable projects.
• Experience with battery storage or civil construction is preferred.
• Preferred background includes site development, trenching, bulldozer operations, GPS, productivity tracking, and contract administration.
• Degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification and a valid driver's license are required.
• Ability to work safely in outdoor construction conditions, confined areas, variable weather, and shifts of up to 12 hours.
