Health and Safety Specialist - Field

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a field health and safety specialist to support construction project safety, health procedures, first aid response, and site compliance. The role is a full-time field assignment with project location determined before the start date and relocation required.

Responsibilities

• Implement company safety and health procedures and conduct routine site inspections.
• Provide first aid and on-site medical response, including field treatment.
• Deliver employee safety and health training.
• Perform drug and alcohol screening under company policy.
• Maintain safety records and enter safety data using word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Support project security procedures and coordinate with the workers' compensation manager.

Required Experience

• At least one year of safety-related experience.
• At least two years of field medical response and treatment experience.
• First Aid/CPR, drug testing certification, safety and health program administration training, and OSHA 10-hour certification.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to relocate to the assigned project site.
• Ability to work in construction environments, including outdoors, at height, around hazardous equipment, and in confined or uneven areas.
