Graduate Engineer, Structural Transmission Line (Phoenix)

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an entry-level structural transmission line engineer for its Phoenix team. This full-time college opportunity supports infrastructure projects while providing early-career development within an employee-owned engineering organization.

Project Details

The role focuses on structural engineering for transmission line infrastructure, including design support and technical work from the Phoenix office. Selected candidates must be located in or relocate to Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic calculations, drawings, reports, specifications, and limited-scope studies.
• Collect and manage engineering data and research equipment or material options.
• Apply applicable design standards, engineering codes, company procedures, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams and support client or business development activities as assigned.
• Follow project budget, schedule, quality, constructability, and continuous improvement expectations.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Basic understanding of engineering design principles, industry practices, technology trends, and construction constructability.
• Strong learning, problem-solving, written communication, listening, and collaboration skills.
• Pre-employment screening may include background, drug, and motor vehicle records checks.
