Electrical Superintendent - Simple/Combined Cycle

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is hiring an Electrical Superintendent for pipeline construction assignments supporting simple-cycle and combined-cycle power projects. The role leads field execution, coordinates craft and subcontractor activities, and supports safe, high-quality delivery. Project locations may include Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Georgia, and other sites.

Project Details

Assignments will support industrial power-generation construction, including simple-cycle and combined-cycle facilities. This is a pipeline posting for 2027 projects, with locations varying by assignment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical craft teams, foremen, subcontractors, superintendents, and field engineering.
• Monitor schedule progress, productivity, costs, quality, safety, installed quantities, and punch-list completion.
• Lead planning meetings and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules for assigned work.
• Confirm that materials, labor, equipment, and other resources are available for scheduled activities.
• Oversee work packages and equipment installation within the assigned scope.
• Prepare job hazard analyses, corrective action plans, daily records, and project documentation.
• Identify field issues, potential back charges, and out-of-scope work while supporting commercial recovery.
• Provide work direction, coaching, training, and performance feedback as applicable.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction field leadership experience on equivalent projects.
• Electrical superintendent experience and simple- or combined-cycle construction experience are preferred.
• Construction management or engineering degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of budgets, cost control, labor productivity, contracts, subcontracting, safety, and construction coordination is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Ability to work safely on active construction sites, including climbing, working at heights, lifting up to 50 pounds, and shifts of up to 12 hours.
