Civil Superintendent - Combined Cycle - Oklahoma

Job Summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead field execution on simple-cycle and combined-cycle power generation projects in Oklahoma. The role directs civil craft teams and coordinates safe, productive delivery with engineering, quality, safety, and project controls.

Project Details

The work includes industrial power-generation construction with civil scopes such as site development, earthwork, grading, concrete, foundations, underground utilities, duct banks, and equipment pads.

Responsibilities

• Direct civil construction activities and provide field leadership to general foremen, foremen, craft employees, and minor subcontractor supervision.
• Track schedule milestones, installed quantities, productivity, cost performance, and field progress.
• Prepare three-week look-ahead plans and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and work fronts.
• Review drawings, specifications, work packages, and technical requirements with field teams.
• Coordinate planning with other superintendents, subcontractors, engineering, safety, quality, and construction management.
• Support job hazard analyses, daily reporting, timesheet review, punch-list completion, turnover, and resolution of field and commercial issues.

Required Experience

• At least 8 years of experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager on comparable projects.
• Experience leading civil work on power-generation or large industrial construction projects.
• Knowledge of earthwork, concrete, foundations, undergrounds, duct banks, equipment pads, scheduling, productivity tracking, and progress reporting.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and use reporting, scheduling, and productivity systems.
• OSHA 10 certification and a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; an engineering, construction management, or related degree is also preferred.
