Architecture Staff Engineering Technician - Water/APG

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Architecture Staff Engineering Technician to support multidisciplinary Water and Advanced Power Generation infrastructure teams from Overland Park. The role develops architectural and engineering deliverables under general supervision while providing technical support to project teams.

Project Details

Assignments support water infrastructure and advanced power generation facilities, including complex industrial and commercial project environments. Work may include architectural modeling, documentation, design coordination, and field support.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise architectural models, drawings, details, calculations, quantity records, and other technical deliverables.
• Use Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools to prepare and maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate design information with other disciplines and help confirm compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Review deliverables, support quality processes, maintain schedules, and provide technical direction to other technicians and engineering professionals.
• Assist with field activities, plant startup work, or control-system programming when required by the assignment.

Required Experience

• At least five years of related work experience.
• Diploma or certificate required; an associate degree in drafting or an engineering design-related technology is preferred.
• Advanced working knowledge of architectural design tools and technical documentation practices.
