Job Summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a Civil General Foreman to supervise concrete and civil craft crews, coordinate field production, and maintain safe, high-quality execution on critical infrastructure work in St. Petersburg.

Project Details

The role supports civil and concrete construction within power, water, grid, and industrial markets, including concrete structures, formwork, reinforcing steel, placement, finishing, and related field activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct crew activities, including one-week schedules, production goals, material coordination, and daily work planning.
• Lead pre-job planning, toolbox meetings, safety practices, incident reporting, and corrective actions.
• Review timecards, phase coding, quantities, schedules, and unit-hour performance.
• Inspect work for compliance with plans, specifications, codes, quality standards, and proper construction procedures.
• Train and supervise crew members, communicate work requirements, and coordinate tools, equipment, and materials.
• Use project plans and field measurements to verify grades, identify issues, and resolve deficiencies.

Required Experience

• Journeyman and supervisory experience as a carpenter, cement finisher, reinforced ironworker, or comparable civil craft professional.
• Strong knowledge of concrete construction, including forms, steel-framed forms, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, finishing, and sealing.
• Experience with concrete structure erection and use of auto-levels and transits for layout and grade verification.
• Leadership, organization, communication, safety, quality, and productivity skills are required.
• NCCER certifications in concrete finishing, carpentry, reinforcing ironwork, rigging, scaffolding, crew leadership, project supervision, or project management are preferred or recognized.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and scaffolds, work in confined areas, and perform demanding outdoor work in varied weather conditions.
