Job Summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a Solar Foreman to supervise photovoltaic construction crews in Mulberry, Florida. The role coordinates safe, productive installation work across electrical and civil scopes while maintaining quality and schedule performance.

Project Details

The position supports ground- or roof-mounted solar photovoltaic construction, including installation, testing, repair, layout, and work performed under project plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct crew planning, daily work assignments, installation activities, and production goals.
• Lead toolbox talks, pre-job safety planning, daily safety assessments, hazard correction, and accident or near-miss reporting.
• Prepare short-term schedules, coordinate tools and materials, complete timecards, and track quantities and labor performance.
• Interpret drawings and work packages, inspect completed work, correct deficiencies, and verify compliance with project requirements.
• Train and evaluate craft workers, confirm qualifications, and hold the crew accountable for safe and productive performance.
• Monitor equipment condition and ensure required daily equipment inspections are completed.

Required Experience

• Previous hands-on experience as a Solar Technician with strong knowledge of photovoltaic system assembly, installation, or maintenance.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• NCCER Solar Photovoltaic Installer, NCCER Electrician, NCCER Concrete Finishing, or NCCER Carpenter certification is preferred.
• Must be at least 18, able to follow instructions, provide required tools, and complete applicable pre-employment screening.
• Must be able to lift up to 52 pounds, climb ladders or steel framework, work in confined or elevated areas, and perform strenuous outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
