Job Summary

Bird Electric Enterprises is seeking a Lineman Foreman in North Carolina to supervise crews installing and repairing high-voltage cables, wires, poles, and related electrical distribution or transmission systems.

Project Details

The role supports electrical power and distribution construction in industrial and outdoor jobsite environments, including work involving high-voltage systems and transmission structures.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft crews and perform lineman duties as needed.
• Plan weekly work, set production goals, coordinate materials and equipment, and review timecards.
• Lead pre-job planning, toolbox meetings, safety training, incident reporting, and lockout/tagout compliance.
• Coordinate with other trades, inspect completed work, correct deficiencies, and maintain quality standards.
• Verify equipment condition and daily inspections, collect quantity reports, and complete craft performance reviews.
• Train crew members and communicate project scope, schedules, hazards, and construction procedures.

Required Experience

• Journeyman Lineman experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in industrial construction.
• Working knowledge of installing or repairing high-voltage electrical cables and distribution systems.
• Ability to follow instructions, provide effective communication, and supply all required lineman tools.
• Preferred credentials include NCCER power line, electrical, rigging, crew leadership, project supervision, or project management certifications, or a state electrical license.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to complete applicable background, drug-screen, and motor-vehicle checks.
