Job Summary

Bird Electric Enterprises is seeking a Lineman Foreman to supervise crews installing and repairing high-voltage cables and electrical distribution systems in an industrial construction environment.

Project Details

The work involves electrical power and distribution systems, including cable installation and repair, poles, and transmission structures on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft workers and coordinate daily crew activities, schedules, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Lead pre-job planning, toolbox meetings, safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and incident reporting.
• Inspect work for compliance with plans, specifications, codes, quality requirements, and industry standards.
• Provide on-the-job training, set crew goals, review timecards, and complete craft performance assessments.
• Monitor equipment condition, daily inspections, field conditions, quantities, and corrective actions.

Required Experience

• Journeyman Lineman experience or equivalent education and experience in industrial construction involving high-voltage cables.
• Strong knowledge of installing and repairing electrical power or distribution wiring and cables.
• Required tools and the ability to work safely in outdoor, confined, uneven, and physically demanding conditions.
• Preferred credentials include NCCER power line, electrical, rigging, crew leadership, project supervision, and project management certifications, or a state electrical license.
• Must be at least 18 and able to complete applicable background, drug screening, and motor vehicle checks.
