Job Summary

Barton Malow is hiring a Superintendent to oversee field delivery of a battery energy storage system project in Ecorse, Michigan. The role works with project leadership and trade partners to achieve safe, coordinated, and successful project completion.

Project Details

This is an industrial battery energy storage project requiring full-time presence at the Ecorse site and openness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site labor, subcontractors, trade partners, and work sequencing.
• Enforce field safety requirements, including pre-task planning and corporate safety procedures.
• Develop site logistics, baseline schedules, pull plans, and six-week look-ahead updates.
• Support bidding, scope development, cost monitoring, forecasting, and change evaluation.
• Report daily progress, issues, and project performance to project managers and field stakeholders.
• Build effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, authorities, and project staff.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
• At least 8 years of relevant industrial and energy construction experience.
• Strong organization, contract awareness, communication, conflict-resolution, and trade-partner management skills.
• Ability to assess complex field issues, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing project needs.
