Job Summary

Barton Malow is hiring a Project Manager to lead self-performed concrete operations, with primary responsibility for field execution, safety, quality, budget, schedule, and contract compliance.

Project Details

The role supports concrete scopes including formwork, reinforcement, placement, finishing, and curing on travel-based projects. The manager will spend most of the time at active job sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily concrete activities, manpower, equipment, sequencing, and productivity.
• Manage self-perform budgets through cost tracking, forecasting, variance review, and estimating support.
• Coordinate material, formwork, tool, and equipment procurement, including review of concrete mix submittals.
• Support scheduling, project reporting, progress updates, turnover, and closeout documentation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop field supervisors, foremen, craft workers, and support staff.
• Coordinate with clients and internal partners to satisfy project expectations and contractual requirements.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, with relevant concrete, structural, or industrial project experience.
• At least five years of construction experience, including direct management of self-performed concrete work.
• Strong knowledge of concrete means and methods, formwork, reinforcement, placement, finishing, curing, and field productivity tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to lead craft labor, field supervision, and construction teams while managing competing priorities.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.
