Sr_ Project Engineer Utility Scale Renewable Energy

Job Summary

Barton Malow Company is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support utility-scale renewable energy construction, including solar and wind projects across the Great Lakes Region. The position supports field engineering, project coordination, communication, and execution from the company’s Michigan teams.

Project Details

The role supports utility-scale solar and wind construction projects throughout the Great Lakes Region.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and track resolutions for project issues.
• Maintain project records, manage document control, and process submittals and RFIs.
• Support procurement activities, bidder tracking, project scheduling, and meeting documentation.
• Assist with site logistics, plan review, municipal approvals, contractor quotation reviews, and change orders.
• Apply corporate safety requirements on active jobsites.
• Coordinate project progress and changes with architects, engineers, owners, contractors, and public agencies.

Required Experience

• Four-year degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Three to six years of relevant professional experience or related construction internship experience.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, independent problem-solving, and commitment to safety.
