Job Summary

Barton Malow is seeking a Project Manager in Kalamazoo to lead complex construction work from preconstruction through closeout while coordinating teams, controlling project performance, and maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget standards.

Project Details

This role supports Barton Malow's sports and entertainment market and may involve collaboration with owners, designers, trade partners, superintendents, engineers, and union field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Direct procurement activities, bidding strategy, subcontract development, scope definition, and pre-bid coordination.
• Build project schedules, logistics plans, cash-flow projections, manpower plans, and constructability reviews.
• Establish jobsite safety expectations, coordinate field operations, manage punch lists, and support emergency preparedness.
• Monitor budgets, cost projections, change management, cash flow, trade commitments, and project profitability.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate RFIs, submittals, documentation, closeout, agency acceptance, and architect/engineer communications.
• Support client development, repeat business, RFP responses, and project presentations.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least four years of experience in general contracting or construction management.
• Procore experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must live in Kalamazoo or be willing to relocate.
