Project Manager (Renewable Energy)

Job Summary

Barton Malow is seeking a Project Manager to lead a solar construction project near Bay City, Michigan. The role oversees project execution, quality, compliance, financial performance, scheduling, and client coordination while spending most working time at the project site.

Project Details

The position supports a renewable energy solar project and works with teams based in Southfield and Grandville, Michigan. Solar or wind project experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate company staff, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and designers throughout project delivery.
• Manage quality documentation, compliance, submittals, budgets, project controls, schedules, and reporting.
• Coordinate material procurement and delivery and support turnover documentation, including operations and maintenance manuals.
• Assist with estimates, proposals, work plans, technical documents, construction services, and resource allocation.
• Lead and develop project personnel while maintaining client communication and satisfaction.

Required Experience

• Four-year degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Five to eight years of relevant professional construction experience.
• Experience leading construction staff, subcontractors, and engineering or design teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, multitasking, and independent problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30-hour training is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and effective teamwork.
