Project Manager - Charleston, SC

Job Summary

Barton Malow is seeking a Project Manager in Charleston to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating teams and maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance. Healthcare construction experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies, bidder lists, scopes, bid documents, and subcontract agreements.
• Build project schedules, site logistics plans, cash-flow projections, manpower plans, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate mobilization, field operations, safety planning, punch list completion, emergency procedures, owner equipment, and mechanical/electrical coordination.
• Manage general conditions, trade budgets, cost projections, change management, job-site cash flow, and project profitability.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate RFIs, submittals, office procedures, closeout, agency acceptance, and communication with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors.
• Support labor relations, business development, RFP responses, and presentations for prospective work.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of general contractor or construction management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Procore experience is preferred.
