Job Summary

Barton Malow is seeking an MEP Superintendent in Dayton to lead mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems work while supporting safe, coordinated, and quality-focused project delivery.

Project Details

The role supports commercial construction projects, with healthcare project experience preferred, and provides oversight of MEP trade contractors and equipment vendors.

Responsibilities

• Enforce site safety policies and conduct proactive pre-task planning.
• Coordinate, sequence, and monitor trade contractor performance to maintain schedule and productivity.
• Oversee MEP installation, mechanical and electrical overhead coordination, punch-list completion, and site logistics.
• Maintain the project schedule, enforce contract requirements, and limit unnecessary field changes.
• Support development of trade scopes and front-end documents.
• Communicate with the Project Manager and resolve field conflicts and disputes promptly.

Required Experience

• At least five years of experience involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Prior superintendent experience is preferred.
• Four-year technical or engineering degree, or equivalent field experience.
• Healthcare construction experience is preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour training is preferred.
