Coldwater Sr Superintendent (BESS)

Job Summary

Barton Malow is hiring a Senior Superintendent to lead field execution for a battery energy storage system project in Coldwater, Michigan. The role works closely with project staff, trade partners, clients, and authorities to deliver the project safely and successfully.

Project Details

This is an industrial battery energy storage system project requiring a full-time on-site commitment and openness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site operations, labor activities, contractor work, and trade partner performance.
• Enforce company safety requirements, including pre-task planning and field compliance.
• Support bidding, scope development, contractor selection, cost control, forecasting, and change management.
• Create site logistics plans and establish the baseline schedule with subcontractor input.
• Lead pull planning and issue six-week look-ahead schedules and progress updates.
• Report site conditions, issues, events, performance, and progress to project leadership.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
• 15 or more years of relevant industrial and energy construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, legal provisions, project organization, and trade partner management.
• Proven ability to resolve complex issues, manage competing priorities, adapt to change, and maintain effective client relationships.
• Excellent leadership, communication, conflict-resolution, and diplomatic skills.
