Virtual Design Construction Manager

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Virtual Design Construction Manager in Glendale to lead virtual design and construction initiatives for its California Buildings team. This role connects design, trade, estimating, and construction teams while advancing digital delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain multidisciplinary construction models and uphold modeling standards.
• Manage district-level VDC resources, budgets, and process improvements.
• Support pursuits, interviews, proposals, staffing plans, and VDC narratives.
• Coordinate trade detailing, design deliverables, project documentation, and digital workflows.
• Evaluate opportunities to apply VDC tools during project pursuits.
• Review integrated project technology requirements and develop BIM execution plans.

Required Experience

• Degree, diploma, or two-year certificate in architecture, engineering, construction, civil, or a related buildings discipline.
• Eight to ten years of construction experience, including four to five years focused on virtual design and construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, building components, construction technology, and model management.
• Advanced ability to interpret 2D and 3D drawings and specifications and develop complete 3D/4D building information models.
• Advanced training in 3D modeling software and experience with 4D scheduling and planning tools.
• Experience developing VDC schedules and BIM execution plans.

Compensation and Benefits
