Traveling Superintendent, Advanced Industries

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to support advanced industrial construction projects. The initial assignment is in Essex Junction, Vermont, with responsibility for field execution, project coordination, safety, quality, and timely completion.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects for innovative clients. This role supports advanced construction work that may require travel or relocation.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety, subcontractor coordination, staffing, workflow, and daily field operations.
• Develop and manage work plans, schedules, site logistics, material needs, equipment, and self-perform activities.
• Lead daily and weekly trade meetings and participate in owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, logs, drawings, inspections, and cost information.
• Coordinate quality control, change management, procurement, closeout, and pre-punch activities.
• Communicate with owners, design teams, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of construction experience and 1 year of field supervision experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management software, accounting systems, construction technology, and Lean practices.
• Intermediate knowledge of relevant trades, self-perform work, layout, crane flagging, and rigging.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours as project needs require.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $90,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience, with potential for a higher offer based on exceptional qualifications. The role includes a target bonus tied to individual and company performance and professional non-union benefits.
