Traveling Superintendent, Advanced Industries

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Traveling Superintendent 2 to lead field operations on advanced industrial projects nationwide. The role manages project execution, safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractors, materials, and site coordination for complex assignments.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects across the country. This position is based in Hillsboro, Oregon, with travel to assigned projects nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Direct site safety, quality, production, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.
• Manage project staff, trade partners, suppliers, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
• Lead daily coordination, trade, owner-architect-contractor, and project review meetings.
• Maintain schedules, drawings, logs, reports, inspection records, and project documentation.
• Monitor project risks, costs, changes, procurement, and self-perform productivity.
• Support project planning, staffing, buyout, negotiations, closeout, and pre-punch activities.

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of construction experience, including 3 or more years in field supervision.
• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, project management software, accounting systems, Lean practices, layout, rigging, and crane flagging.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, scheduling, construction technology, and project management capabilities.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel or relocate and work non-traditional hours when project conditions require.
