Traveling Superintendent 3 Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Traveling Superintendent 3 to lead moderately complex healthcare construction projects, coordinate field teams, and drive safe, timely, and profitable project delivery.

Project Details

This role supports healthcare construction projects and may involve stand-alone assignments or major portions of larger projects, with travel and relocation as project needs require.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, suppliers, field staff, workflow, site logistics, and construction sequencing.
• Establish and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Lead safety, quality, daily coordination, trade, owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Manage site documentation, reports, materials, equipment, timecards, self-perform activities, and closeout work.
• Monitor project risks, costs, changes, quality compliance, and field staffing.
• Support project pursuits, buyout activities, client relationships, and future business development.
• Promote an inclusive workplace and help recruit and develop field talent.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of construction experience and 5 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, trades, self-perform work, and labor productivity.
• Advanced layout, crane flagging, and rigging knowledge.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license and ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions, perform frequent physical field activities, and adjust to non-traditional hours.
