Traveling Superintendent 3 - Commercial Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Traveling Superintendent 3 to lead moderately complex commercial construction projects, coordinating field operations from planning through closeout while supporting safety, quality, schedule, cost, and client objectives.

Project Details

The role includes leadership of complex, high-value sports projects exceeding $50 million and may involve travel or relocation. Projects may include multiple field supervisors and require coordination with owners, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and governing authorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage project site operations, subcontractors, staff, workflow, materials, equipment, and self-perform activities.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, work plans, project documentation, daily reports, logs, and cost tracking.
• Lead safety, quality, trade, owner-architect-contractor, progress, and project review meetings.
• Coordinate project changes, procurement, staffing, risk management, closeout, and pre-punch activities.
• Build client relationships, support pursuits, develop future business, and promote an inclusive field culture.

Required Experience

• At least 8 years of construction experience, including 5 or more years in field supervision.
• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading complex sports projects valued above $50 million.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, layout, crane flagging, rigging, and self-perform productivity.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license and ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
