Traveling Superintendent 2 - Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Traveling Superintendent 2 to oversee field execution for healthcare construction assignments in its National Healthcare Division. The role manages project operations, safety, quality, schedule, subcontractors, and site coordination on projects of moderate complexity.

Project Details

This is a nationwide traveling position supporting healthcare construction projects. Assignments may change based on business needs and can require full-time travel or relocation.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety, quality, subcontractor coordination, workflow, and daily field operations.
• Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, reports, logs, and project documentation.
• Manage project materials, equipment, staffing, self-perform activities, and timecard approvals.
• Coordinate trade meetings, owner-architect-contractor meetings, inspections, closeout activities, and project changes.
• Monitor project risks, costs, production, quality compliance, and schedule performance with the project team.
• Support procurement, project pursuits, buyout meetings, reviews, and contract administration.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management systems, accounting software, construction technology, and Microsoft Office.
• Lean principles experience is preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license and willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel or relocate as project needs require.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent field activities including standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
