Traveling Senior Project Engineer - Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a traveling Senior Project Engineer for its National Healthcare Division. The role manages defined portions of healthcare construction projects and supports project administration, field execution, safety, quality, and coordination with project teams nationwide.

Project Details

This position supports healthcare construction assignments across the country. Project locations may change according to business needs, with full-time travel expected for assignments in the National Healthcare Division.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates, scopes of work, change requests, and subcontractor selections for assigned work.
• Develop project schedules, coordinate submittals and procurement, and track materials, equipment, manpower, production, and deliveries.
• Support safety, QA/QC, inspections, punch lists, meetings, daily reporting, and project documentation.
• Review subcontractor and vendor pay applications and help manage project risks, costs, resources, and performance.
• Lead closeout activities, including punch lists, as-built documents, operations and maintenance manuals, and inspections.
• Mentor project team members and apply Lean and self-perform best practices.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years of construction experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting software, and construction technology.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods, Lean practices, self-perform work, labor productivity, and project controls.
• Ability to lead teams, collaborate with trade partners, assess productivity, and work accurately under project deadlines.
