Traveling Project Manager - Aviation

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to lead the administration, coordination, and financial performance of moderately complex aviation construction projects. The role provides project direction from preconstruction through closeout and may involve travel or relocation.

Project Details

Lead aviation projects valued at $25 million or more, coordinating owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal support groups.

Responsibilities

• Direct project operations, safety culture, procurement, buyout, submittals, scheduling, cost control, and closeout.
• Coordinate preconstruction activities including estimating support, scope development, bid packages, trade coordination, and subcontract awards.
• Manage project schedules, risks, changes, pay applications, forecasts, reporting, and profitability.
• Lead progress, owner-architect-contractor, project review, and other project meetings.
• Maintain documentation for decisions affecting budget, schedule, quality, legal matters, and safety.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 7 years of construction management experience.
• Required experience managing aviation projects valued at $25 million or more.
• Advanced proficiency with project management, accounting, scheduling, and construction technology software.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, Lean process, and construction management capabilities.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $126,000-$158,000 depending on experience, with potential for a higher offer based on exceptional qualifications. The position includes a target bonus tied to individual and company performance and professional non-union benefits.
