Traveling Project Manager 1 Justice

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction — ranked #2 by ENR for Correctional Facilities Construction — is hiring a Traveling Project Manager to support its growing Justice portfolio of courthouses and corrections facilities across the United States. This role provides overall project direction and leadership, either independently or as part of a larger project team alongside a Project Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project management including buyout, submittal coordination, schedule development, change management, and closeout.
• Manage owner, architect, and subcontractor relationships and lead OAC meetings and monthly project reviews.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules using Lean principles; identify and mitigate schedule risks.
• Oversee monthly cost forecasting, budget tracking, and pay application processing for both subcontractors and owners.
• Champion JE Dunn's safety culture; investigate incidents and retrain staff as needed.
• Support preconstruction activities including quantity takeoffs, bid package development, and scope review.
• Coordinate risk management and bonding requirements for subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of construction management experience.
• Prior experience on large or complex Justice or Corrections projects preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
• Advanced proficiency in project management, accounting, scheduling, and construction technology software.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and Lean process application.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required; willingness to travel and/or relocate required.
