Traveling General Superintendent Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Traveling General Superintendent to lead complex healthcare construction assignments for its National Healthcare Division. The role provides senior field leadership from project planning through closeout and may oversee multiple project teams.

Project Details

This position supports healthcare construction projects nationwide. The posting location is Nashville, but assignments and project locations may vary, with full-time travel required.

Responsibilities

• Direct overall site operations, construction sequencing, subcontractor coordination, staffing, and workflow.
• Lead safety, quality, scheduling, site logistics, documentation, meetings, and project closeout activities.
• Coordinate with project management, owners, architects, authorities, suppliers, and trade partners on changes, costs, and project execution.
• Oversee complex stand-alone projects or multiple projects and support regional and company-wide field initiatives.
• Recruit and develop field talent while promoting an inclusive, collaborative team culture.

Required Experience

• At least 12 years of construction experience, including 10 or more years in field supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, project processes, scheduling, cost management, self-perform work, and labor productivity.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills, with intermediate proficiency in project management, accounting, scheduling, and Microsoft Office software.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be accepted.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Experience applying Lean principles is preferred.
