Traveling General Superintendent Aviation

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Traveling General Superintendent to provide senior field leadership for complex aviation construction projects. The role oversees project execution, construction sequencing, teams, safety, quality, schedule, and coordination from planning through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, and multiple project teams.
• Develop and adjust work plans, schedules, staffing plans, and construction sequencing.
• Lead safety, quality, trade, owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Manage site logistics, materials, equipment, documentation, reporting, and timecard approvals.
• Monitor self-perform work, productivity, project costs, changes, and closeout activities.
• Coordinate with project management on procurement, buyout, change negotiations, and contract requirements.
• Support field operations initiatives, training development, talent recruitment, and an inclusive workplace culture.

Required Experience

• At least 12 years of construction experience, including 10 or more years in field supervision.
• Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, trades, self-perform operations, labor productivity, layout, crane flagging, and rigging.
• Intermediate proficiency with project management, accounting, scheduling, and office software.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, quality, documentation, and project changes.
• A valid, unrestricted driver's license is required.
• A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may substitute.
• Experience applying Lean principles is preferred.
