Traveling Construction Project Engineer

Job Summary

E&K is hiring a Traveling Construction Project Engineer based in Denver to support specialty commercial construction projects across the United States. The role provides exposure to project delivery from preconstruction through close-out while working with office, field, and project teams.

Project Details

This position supports high-profile interior specialty construction projects and combines office-based project management work with regular visits to active jobsites. Travel may reach 75% throughout the country.

Responsibilities

• Maintain contract drawings, specifications, RFIs, change documentation, submittals, and other project records.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, cost analysis, change-order pricing, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
• Prepare submittal packages, draft RFIs, and support quality assurance and project close-out activities.
• Participate in site visits, coordination meetings, planning activities, jobsite training, and safety initiatives.
• Coordinate with project managers, field teams, office staff, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Experience in commercial construction, specialty construction, engineering, project coordination, or a related field.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work safely on active construction sites, follow PPE requirements, and travel up to 75%.

Compensation and Benefits
