Trade Foreman 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Trade Foreman 2 in Dallas to lead crews while performing hands-on construction work for routine and non-routine commercial projects. The role offers a career path toward Superintendent 1.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews and subcontractor teams, coordinate trade activities, and support production goals.
• Plan crew sizes, schedules, materials, meetings, manpower, and project resources.
• Track labor hours, production units, costs, tools, equipment, and project documentation.
• Lead safety planning, toolbox talks, job hazard analyses, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Read plans, specifications, shop drawings, and coordination drawings while coordinating quality and punch-list work.
• Apply Lean construction practices, including daily stand-up meetings and pull planning.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; related vocational or technical education preferred.
• At least 3 years of commercial construction experience and 2 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, trade scopes, labor productivity, layout, crane flagging, and rigging.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lead crews, read construction documents, assess productivity, and work safely in changing field conditions.
