Superintendent - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Superintendent to lead water, wastewater, pipeline, and plant construction work in Aurora, Colorado. This role directs field operations, supports project delivery, and develops construction teams.

Project Details

The position focuses on heavy civil water and wastewater infrastructure, including pipeline and plant work with disinfection and testing activities.

Responsibilities

• Set jobsite safety expectations and oversee quality control.
• Build look-ahead schedules and maintain CPM schedule updates.
• Coordinate with project management on cost, labor quantities, and project execution.
• Review shop drawings, initiate RFIs and change orders, and develop means and methods.
• Manage subcontractors, layout, field engineers, direct labor, and workforce development.

Required Experience

• At least 8 years of heavy construction experience, including 3 or more years as a superintendent on comparable work.
• Knowledge of water, wastewater, and pipeline construction is required.
• Competent Person designation and strong leadership, safety, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Excel is required; ASTA, Primavera, and Bluebeam experience is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
