Field Engineer

Job Summary

Garney is seeking a Field Engineer in Brainerd to connect office engineering teams with field operations and help deliver projects safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Verify that crew and subcontractor work complies with engineering requirements.
• Perform site surveying and layout activities.
• Review shop drawings and maintain as-built documentation.
• Inspect completed work and confirm materials are properly received and stored.
• Prepare daily and periodic field reports.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and support communication between project teams.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Availability to travel and work the schedule needed to support project execution.
• Interest in developing entry-level project management experience.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary starts at $80,000 per year.
