Job Summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Superintendent to lead pipe-related heavy civil construction work in Columbus, Ohio. The role requires progressive field leadership experience and strong coordination with project management and craft teams.

Project Details

This position supports heavy civil pipe construction and requires willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Establish job site safety expectations and promote safe field execution.
• Develop six-week look-ahead schedules and track project progress.
• Coordinate with project management and monitor labor quantities and job costs.
• Prepare daily and periodic reports.
• Oversee quality control and subcontractor performance.
• Train craft workers and mentor field engineers.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in the heavy civil or related construction industry.
• Progressive superintendent or comparable field leadership experience.
• Willingness to travel.
