Superintendent Phoenix Buildings

Job Summary

PCL Buildings Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations for building construction work in Phoenix. This role oversees project execution, safety, quality, schedule, cost controls, stakeholder coordination, and team development.

Responsibilities

• Implement site safety plans and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and documentation requirements.
• Lead, coach, and coordinate project staff, trade contractors, and self-perform crews.
• Manage schedules, including critical-path planning, project execution plans, and resource-loaded three-week lookaheads.
• Coordinate drawings, specifications, subcontractor activities, constructability, quality, budget, and productivity.
• Identify project risks, resolve conflicts, manage work interferences, and support financial and schedule objectives.
• Lead site and client meetings while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, trades, and internal teams.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate or related undergraduate or engineering degree.
• NCSO designation required; Gold Seal program enrollment preferred.
• Approximately 10 years of progressive field supervision experience preferred, including successful construction workforce supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, methods, contracts, safety, environmental requirements, scheduling, productivity, and cost reporting.
• Ability to coordinate multiple project scopes and apply scheduling software, project controls, conflict resolution, and professional judgment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internal operational systems.
