Superintendent- Mechanical

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent in Charlotte to oversee field execution, safety, quality, scheduling, workforce coordination, and project completion for moderately complex construction work.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, suppliers, company personnel, site logistics, materials, equipment, and workflow.
• Develop and maintain work plans, project schedules, field documentation, daily reports, and cost information.
• Lead safety, quality, trade, progress, and project review meetings while promoting an injury-free work environment.
• Coordinate self-perform activities, procurement, staffing, inspections, closeout, and pre-punch work.
• Identify project risks, evaluate changes, support negotiations, and recommend solutions to schedule and production issues.
• Communicate with owners, architects, design teams, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least five years of construction experience, including three years in field supervision.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, trade scopes, layout, crane flagging, and rigging.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, collaboration, budgeting, document control, and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours as project needs require.
