Superintendent - Heavy Civil

Job Summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Heavy Civil Superintendent to lead field operations, safety, scheduling, quality, and workforce coordination on infrastructure projects in Colorado Springs.

Project Details

This role supports heavy civil construction work and requires willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Set jobsite safety expectations and oversee quality control.
• Develop six-week look-ahead schedules and track the overall project schedule.
• Coordinate with project management and manage subcontractors.
• Review job costs, monitor labor quantities, and complete regular project reports.
• Train craft workers and mentor field engineers.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry.
• Progressive field leadership experience in a superintendent role.
• Willingness to travel.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary of $125,000-$150,000, plus employer-paid medical, prescription, dental, and vision coverage, company stock, a 401(k) with 3.5% match, paid time off, paid holidays, HSA contributions, life and disability insurance, and additional wellness and support programs.
