Superintendent

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is seeking a Superintendent for its Florida Buildings Group in Fort Lauderdale. This role leads field execution, project coordination, safety, scheduling, quality, and stakeholder communication from mobilization through completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and coordinate project staff, self-perform crews, subcontractors, and trade partners.
• Integrate safety requirements into site plans, procedures, and daily operations.
• Build and maintain project schedules, including critical-path planning and resource-loaded three-week lookaheads.
• Coordinate drawings, specifications, constructability, work sequencing, productivity, costs, and quality requirements.
• Manage project documentation, contract obligations, risk mitigation, and communication with clients, consultants, labor representatives, and site teams.
• Lead effective site meetings and resolve conflicts, schedule issues, and field problems.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate or undergraduate degree in a related construction or engineering discipline.
• NCSO designation required; Gold Seal program enrollment preferred.
• Five years of progressive field-supervision experience preferred, including successful construction workforce supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, specifications, safety practices, scheduling, cost reports, takeoffs, contracts, and risk management.
• Ability to coordinate multiple work scopes, interpret schedules and labor costs, lead meetings, resolve conflicts, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems.
