Superintendent 2, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Superintendent 2 to lead field operations on moderately complex mission critical and advanced facilities construction projects. The role manages site execution, safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractors, materials, equipment, documentation, and project closeout.

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects for innovative clients across the country.

Responsibilities

• Manage stand-alone projects or major project portions from planning through completion.
• Direct subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, workflow, site logistics, and self-performed work.
• Lead safety, quality, daily standups, trade meetings, progress meetings, and owner-architect-contractor meetings.
• Create and adjust schedules with the Project Manager and monitor project risks, costs, changes, and deliverables.
• Maintain project records, drawings, logs, reports, inspection documentation, and cost information.
• Manage material and equipment needs, procurement support, timecard approvals, and project closeout activities.
• Build staffing plans, support pursuits and buyout meetings, and help recruit and develop field talent.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience, including 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, trades, self-perform operations, layout, and rigging.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, collaboration, budgeting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours as project demands require.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time Professional Non-Union position with an associated benefits package. Travel or relocation may be required.
