Superintendent 2, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 to lead field operations for mission-critical construction within its Advanced Facilities Group. This role oversees project execution, safety, quality, scheduling, and coordination across a complex stand-alone project or major project segment.

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers mission-critical, advanced industrial, manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects for innovative clients across the country.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, company personnel, suppliers, site logistics, and daily workflow.
• Own field safety, quality assurance, production, scheduling, and project risk management.
• Lead daily, trade, owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Develop work plans, coordinate materials and equipment, and manage self-perform activities.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, logs, drawings, inspections, and cost information.
• Coordinate schedule and cost impacts of changes with project management and participate in owner negotiations.
• Support procurement, staffing, project pursuits, closeout, and pre-punch activities.
• Recruit and develop talent while promoting a diverse and inclusive project culture.

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of construction experience, including 3 or more years in field supervision.
• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project accounting, construction technology, Lean practices, trade scopes, layout, and rigging.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting systems, scheduling software, and required construction technology.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours.
