Superintendent 2, Mechanical, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 to lead the field execution of moderately complex mechanical mission-critical construction projects in Atlanta. The role oversees project delivery from planning through closeout while supporting safe, timely, and profitable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, workflow, site logistics, and material and equipment coordination.
• Manage project safety, quality, scheduling, documentation, reporting, and closeout activities.
• Lead daily coordination, trade, owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Develop and adjust work plans and schedules in partnership with project management.
• Monitor project risks, costs, changes, deliverables, self-perform work, and labor productivity.
• Support staffing, procurement, project pursuits, change negotiations, and talent development.
• Promote an injury-free, inclusive, and collaborative jobsite culture.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management systems, accounting software, Lean practices, layout, rigging, and trade coordination.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, scheduling, project technology, and construction management capabilities.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
